Back & Neck Injuries
Catastrophic injury attorney serving Cape Cod
The human body was simply not meant to absorb the impact that collisions in automobile and motorcycle accidents can create. The force of an accident can cause a person’s back and neck to bend and compress in an unnatural fashion, fracturing discs, pinching nerves, and shattering vertebrae. These injuries can completely alter people’s lives and make it difficult to pay medical bills and take care of their family.
At the Law Offices of Steven T. Snow, we provide accident victims with the support they need to overcome adversity and move forward with their lives. We represent clients throughout Cape Cod and Southeastern Massachusetts who have suffered catastrophic injuries to their spine in motor vehicle accidents, including:

These injuries often require victims to undergo extensive medical care, including emergency room treatment, surgery, physical therapy and other rehabilitative treatment. Attorney Snow fights to secure his clients the maximum amount of compensation available in each case.
Unparalleled expertise in complex back and neck injury cases
What sets Attorney Snow apart is the level of technical expertise he possesses. These cases require on a vast understanding of law, medicine, economics, forensic accounting and/or statistical analysis. Attorney Snow knows how to read medical records and works with doctors to supplement their expert disclosures. He works extensively with treating physicians to develop his cases and often calls doctors to testify as an expert witness at trial.
He is also extremely familiar with the spinal injury section of the American Medical Association Guide to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment. This guide is referenced by physicians, neurosurgeons and other medical professionals when writing their reports on cervical and lumbar injuries for trial. When handling a case, he sends this guide to your physicians and has them rate your whole person impairment. They assess your functionality and determine a number representing your percentage of impairment. For example, if the injury to your cervical spine causes a 20% percent impairment, that may equate to an eight percent whole person impairment.
Once your whole person impairment has been determined and supported by expert testimony, Attorney Snow then enters the U.S. Health Care Life Expectancy Table into evidence. This table provides accepted statistical information to approximate how long you will be living with this impairment. By multiplying the number of years times your level of impairment, juries are able to calculate the appropriate amount of compensation. For example, if a person suffered a serious neck injury at the age of 25, and was expected to live to the age of 79, then that person should be entitled to compensation for 54 years based on the impairment rating found in the Guide.
An experienced trial lawyer with 20 years of experience handling these cases for his clients, Steven Snow is the attorney you need to get the results you deserve.
